The Food Security Investment Fund was launched to address the emerging global need for funding to support companies that are helping to solve current worldwide food security issues.
Our Investment Strategy is:
- Target best in class, innovative companies in the key focus areas that offer attractive investment returns by addressing identified market needs
- Initially focus on venture capital and growth stage companies
- Focus on Series B or later stage investments where strong technical / market validation has been achieved
- Selectively explore early stage companies targeting ground breaking technologies that offer innovative solutions to key problems
- In selected strategic sectors, invest in leading companies to be platforms for development of multiple synergistic products
- Invest primarily in North American companies and opportunistically elsewhere
